An itch.io Feedback Request Needs a Question, Not Just a Link

Choose the appropriate community space and ask for feedback people can realistically provide.

Choose the right place to participate

itch.io's community rules prohibit unsolicited or bulk advertising and allow individual communities to set additional rules. That makes destination choice part of responsible publishing, not an afterthought. Before posting about Firebreak Command, check the current rules for the specific board or project community. A general discussion area, feedback board, and release announcement space serve different purposes. Do not advertise in another creator's comments or treat an unrelated conversation as free distribution. A project's subject matter does not override the host community's expectations.

Ask something answerable

A useful feedback request explains what material is available, what question you want answered, and how much participation you are requesting. If access is limited to screenshots or footage, ask about what those materials can reveal rather than requesting a hands-on verdict. If a demo is available, identify the relevant version and avoid implying features that have not been verified. These are proposed communication practices, not a claim that Firebreak Command currently provides a particular build, feedback system, multiplayer mode, or public release.

Respond without converting feedback into a sale

Thank contributors for specific observations, clarify misunderstandings respectfully, and leave criticism visible unless it violates conduct rules. Do not demand favorable reviews in exchange for attention or turn every reply into another promotional link. Record proposed changes separately from shipped functionality. Community feedback is not proof of clinical benefit, professional training quality, or department certification. It also does not guarantee discovery or editorial coverage. A well-framed request respects the contributor's time and gives them enough context to offer an honest answer, including the possibility that they are not the right audience.

Bring it to your crew

What single question could a feedback request ask that readers can answer from the material actually provided?
