Respect community rules and make a contribution that stands on its own rather than disguising promotion.
Check the destination first
A relevant subject does not automatically make a promotional post welcome. Before sharing a Firebreak Command article or project link on Reddit, read the community's rules, pinned threads, and posting requirements. Look for designated promotion spaces, disclosure expectations, and restrictions on outside links. Reddit's platform rules require authentic participation and compliance with community rules; individual moderators define additional local boundaries. Do not assume that permission in one subreddit transfers to another or that a familiar posting ratio creates a universal exemption from restrictions.
Be clear about your connection
If you benefit from a project, identify that relationship rather than presenting the post as independent discovery. Lead with a specific, relevant discussion point that remains useful without a click. A question about explaining uncertainty in a demo may fit some communities better than a general announcement, but relevance does not override a promotion ban. Do not solicit coordinated votes, recruit others to simulate enthusiasm, or paste the same pitch across unrelated boards. When uncertain, ask moderators through the channel their community provides.
Accept the community's answer
If a post is removed, read the explanation and avoid reposting with cosmetic changes designed to evade the rule. A community does not owe a project distribution, favorable replies, or media attention. These articles are possible discussion material, not guarantees of coverage or permission to promote. Keep factual boundaries intact: do not claim a paid release is live, online multiplayer has been tested, or a demo provides department certification without appropriate verification. A useful contribution earns its place through honesty and relevance, not through repetition or pressure.
Bring it to your crew
